Wedding Officiant, Volusia County

A Florida notary public can solemnize a marriage. Beach, backyard, dock or courthouse steps, with the license handled properly and filed on time.

Florida Lets a Notary Marry You

It’s one of the quieter powers of the office and a lot of couples don’t know about it. No church required, no long booking, no package you didn’t ask for.

How it Usually Goes

  • You get your marriage license from the Clerk of Court.
  • We agree a time and a place. I’ve married people on docks, on the sand, in back gardens and in living rooms.
  • The ceremony itself is as short or as full as you want it.
  • I complete the license correctly and it gets filed on time, which is the part that goes wrong when somebody is doing it for the first time.

Elopements and Small Ceremonies

Most of my weddings are two people and a couple of witnesses. That’s a lovely way to do it and it’s the kind of day I enjoy most.

Dates Fill Up

Weekends on the beach go first, especially in spring and autumn. Call as soon as you have a date in mind and I’ll tell you whether it’s open.
