Pricing and Travel, by Area

Florida fixes the notarial act itself. What changes is how far I drive. Every figure below is an average.

Price Match Guarantee

I will meet or beat any competitor’s price.

Get a quote from somebody else and tell me what it says. If they’re cheaper, I will match it or come in under it. Call and read it to me.

Travel by Area

I’m based in Daytona Beach and I come to you, so the travel figure is the honest part of the price. These are the numbers I quote most often.

The Notarial Act Itself

Florida caps what a notary may charge for any one notarial act at $10, under section 117.05 of the Florida Statutes. That part isn’t mine to set. Travel, witnesses and waiting time are separate, and they’re what the table above describes.

The Jail is Flat

$125, every time. Not because of the distance. Because I can’t tell you whether I’ll be there twenty minutes or two and a half hours, and I can’t take other work while I wait. A flat rate is the only honest way to price that.

Witnesses

$30 each. Some documents need one or two, and Florida requires that a witness isn’t a party to the document. Tell me when you call and I’ll bring them.

Why Every Figure Says "on Average"

Because jobs aren’t identical. A single signature at a kitchen table and a fifteen document package in a hospital room are different pieces of work even in the same postcode. Call me, tell me what you actually have, and I’ll give you a real number before I set off.
